This database contains coded information on 153 empirical cases stemming from 141 articles using the theory of institutional entrepreneurship. The database contains the article titles, authors and years of publication. Additionally, all cases are coded in a binary fashion using 15 codes. The accompanying text file contains the coding protocol that led to the coding in this database. Further information on the selection and inclusion process of articles can be found in the article "The study of institutional entrepreneurship and its implications for transition studies" by Hoogstraaten et al., (2020) published in the journal Environmental Innovation and Societal Transitions. This article also describes the motivations that led to the formulation of the used codes.
